In the Genoret Database we call Datafile any type of file containing raw data, stored in the SOPs or Gallery tree.

A Datafile can be an image, a MSWord .doc file, a simple plain text file, ...

A Datafile, generally uploaded to the Genoret Database by a EVI-Genoret member, is well registered in the database.

It has

 * a Title
 * a Description
 * a Owner
 * a Visibility Group
 * a associated file, stored (somewhere) in the Genoret Database

The Title, Description and Visibility Group can be modified by the Owner.

A Datafile can be referenced by several SOPs and Galleries. These can be done by all Genoret members.

It will be used (in accord with the owner) to feed the relational database
