GenePaint Gene Annotation with ImAnno

The website GenePaint provides thousands of the In Situ Hybridization images. These images correspond to the 24 sagittal sections at embryonic day 14.5.

The goal of GenePaint Gene Annotation with ImAnno is to annotate all genes provided by GenePaint

The tissue types which will be annotated are (may 30th 2006) :

  • Neural Retina Inner cell layer
  • Neural Retina Outer cell layer
  • Lens Central cells
  • Lens Anterior epithelium
  • Cornea Mesothelium
  • Cornea Surface epithelium
  • Non-corneal surface epithelia Palpebral folds
  • Non-corneal surface epithelia Conjunctival/perioptic epithelium
  • Mesenchyme Eyelid mesenchyme
  • Mesenchyme Scleral mesenchyme
  • Mesenchyme Condensed perioptic mes. (including prosp. ocular muscles)
  • Mesenchyme Loose perioptic mes. (including prosp. orbital bone )
  • Mesenchyme Retrolenticular mesenchyme
  • Mesenchyme Hyaloid plexi
  • Non-ocular head tissues Facial surface epithelium
  • Non-ocular head tissues Facial mesenchyme
  • Non-ocular head tissues Facial bone precursors
  • Non-ocular head tissues Blood vessels
  • Other body regions

Foreach tissue type you have to select between

  • NA
  • Negative
  • Weak
  • Strong

and you can add zero or more keyword

  • patchy
  • spotted
  • regionalized
  • dev nerves
