About
Ordalie (Ordered alignment information explorer) is an integrated
workbench that combines generic tools to decipher the informational
content of a protein multiple sequence alignment. Exploring an
alignment consists in investigating several scales of a
multi-dimensional space. The evolution space ranges from the whole
bunch of sequences up to a single taxa, and going through main life
kingdoms (eukaryota, prokaryota, archaea) and defined sub-groups.
Exploring the sequence (residues) dimension means analysing the
whole sequence residues (domain organisation, insertions and deletions)
and diving to the function of a single residue.
The available tools are :
- sequence clustering according to several criterion : length,
composition, % identity, ...
- tree building according to alignment features (domains, ...)
- several residues conservation methods
- an powerfull alignment editor
- an alignment features editor
- a 3D model visualization module
